Birds on Kapok Tree

This one is not new.  In fact it was painted about 25 years ago and it's not in my possession  any more but for some reason it had not made her way up here till now.
Water color under glass, painted in the manner of Chinese Brush Painting.
Note to oneself:  got to paint more of this sort soon.

The Big Apple

Could it be that we're getting close to the New Year, who knows?
30x24 in oil.

Rumi

A tribute to the Great Rumi, the philosopher, poet, story teller and a genius in his time, 700 and some years ago who will live for ever and ever.

He teaches about love, a true meaning of love that can create peace and harmony within and among people.

He belongs to no place or no religion, and yet to all,  he just belongs to humanity.

I learned from him to fight the beast inside that can cause greed and animosity and replace it with forgiveness and generosity.  Every time I read a poem of his, the enlightenment sparkles in my mind grow exponentially bigger and bigger.

Hoping that maybe one day I truly understand Rumi or Shams or Baayazid or Buddha and that sort!

Till then, Love and Peace to all!

The Dancing Chicken

So the Gouche was out and I thought "why not"?
24x18 on Yupo.  Fun, Fun, Fun!

Kingfisher & Lotus

I'm very found of those birds, the kingfishers, maybe it's because of them being dis-proportional yet efficient.  They're just cute, aren't they, complementing the grace of that lotus flower?

Four Seasons in Gouache

Thought I try a contemporary attempt this time.  They look complete now that they're framed individually.  No point trying to take a picture once framed under glass because of the glare!
16x12 each, 22x18 framed, Gouache on Yupo.
